Police and Justice

The European Union has developed several databases within the framework of police and legal cooperation in criminal cases and the supervision of migration flows. The various European data protection authorities must cooperate to ensure a coordinated control of these information systems. For this purpose, representatives of national data protection authorities regularly meet in various supervisory coordination groups.

In the cooperation protocol with the belgian DPA, Supervisory Body, Standing Intellingence Agencies review Comittee I and the Standing Police Monitoring Committee it has been agreed in subsections 36-37 how these supervision coordination groups will be followed up from Belgium.
